Our vacation home Casa Bear is located in quiet and family oriented Barranca Mesa neighborhood in Los Alamos.

We live on the upper level of the property while you will have the entire lower level to yourself (690 sq ft apartment).

You can enter the home directly from the patio via private entrance equipped with keypad door lock.

Fully equipped kitchenette with electric cooktop allows to prepare meals. Basic spices and oil are provided.

Kitchen features a fridge with freezer, microwave, toaster and coffee machine. Hot drinks are provided. Kitchen cabinets have extra space to store food if needed.

Sofa is easily transformed into queen size bed. Mattress, pillows, comforter and extra blankets are provided in the adjacent closet.

Just step outside Casa Bear apartment and go 20 steps forward - the depth of the canyon and opposite mountain will amaze you. This is the actual view from your private yard.

You might see wildlife coming right through the yard - deer is very common in the area. Bears and mountain lions make this forest home, but they are elusive.

We live at a quiet cul-de-sac which often serves as a great playground for kids.

You can hike or bike right from the home, no need to drive anywhere – trail access to the canyons and rock mesas with scenic views of Sangre de Cristo and Jemez mountains are just 0.3 miles away

Bus stop is just around the corner – the bus will take you around the town, to the lab and to White Rock

Casa Bear vacation home is located 8 minutes from Los Alamos downtown and Los Alamos National Laboratory
